Great start for thr Brits. What a chance now for Bally in round 2 and 90 ranking points on offer. She has to have a great shot at winning that match. Loved her fighting quality out there. Hope it rubs off on Boggo on that court next.

Zheng  is in a different class to Kerber. She is going to have to play MUCH better to even be close.

Bally was fantastic. Started to tighten up but hopefully this is the step forward she needed. Her emotions at the end of the game showed how much this meant to her

Zheng was ranked 27 a couple of years ago. She was out for 6 months from June last year and her ranking dropped. She seems to be predominately a clay court player so if Bally keeps playing positively and confidently her good grass court game could give her a chance, not easy though.
