Not a bad effort by Amanda, but it's a match that she possibly could have won looking back at it - when you break your opponent as they serve for the match, you have to take the momentum forward and go and and put pressure on them, which it didn't look like she did.
She was always the underdog, but it's a chance missed to reach the final round here
Maybe good effort but same old story. Typical British. Maybe its just the other player playing for time on court for grass practice, because no matter how many times they get caught up there is still no doubt they will win. I like everyone else am really dissapointed but its begining to happen so often, especially of late.
Good effort from both Anna and Amanda. Both players fought hard. Perhaps a shame that Amanda's serve went missing in the first set. After that she did really well.
Can see Amanda making a case for a maindraw WC next year and hopefully Anna will be able to take some confidence from her performances this week and perhaps get close to 325 by the end of the year.
Overall I think the brits did well. Impressed by the fighting spirit shown by many of the players. If you compare these efforts with those of the top 5 in recent Slam qualies then I think they should be proud of their displays (with two obvious exceptions).
