Assuming you're talking about the men's top 25 table, yes I do have plans to do the same for the GB women one day, but I don't want to start trying to do too much too soon or I'll just end up getting behind and then neither will get done!
However, you've got me thinking that it might not be too hard to do it just for the GB top 10 now and then expand it to the rest of the top 25 later if it proves to be as easy as the men's table to update, so I'll try to do that sooner rather than later.
Hopefully all the links that there would be on such a table will help all the people who do such a great job of keeping us up to date on how the women are doing here, and of course I'd be shamelessly using their research to limit the amount of work that has to be done to keep the table up to date.
Info sources
One of the things that has been holding me back from doing this is that some of the information sources that prevent the men's table from taking too long to do don't seem to exist for the women, but it may be that I just haven't found them yet! So, maybe some of the women's tennis experts on here could tell me (by answering in this thread) if there are women's equivalents of:
A) the best N page for the men, e.g. http://www.atptennis.com/3/en/players/playerprofiles/pointsbreakdown.asp?player=MC10&ss=y - i.e. I'd like to be able to get hold of points to defend data without having to trawl through the activity tab on the WTA or ITF sites trying to work out which tournaments are counting for each player at any given time still to find
B) a page with links to pdfs for all the current tournaments, like the men's page at http://www.atptennis.com/3/en/tournaments/challenger/ - it helps a lot if all the results links can be in the same format, e.g. for the men I use http://www.atptennis.com/1/posting/2008/"&AQ12&"/"&AR12&".pdf where AQ12 is the tournament number and AR12 is mds for a main draw sheet, qs for a qualifying sheet and op for the OoP, these things then being the only things I need to input - I'd prefer not to have to link to ITF draws because the ITF doesn't have OoPs, and tenniseurope isn't really good enough because it doesn't cover all of the tournaments still to find
C) linked to this, it would be great if there was a results source where the URLs for ITF tournaments were in the same format as the URLs for WTA tournaments, which is true of the draws on the ATP site (if this is asking too much, then if there's a standard format for all ITFs and a standard format for all WTAs, I can always set a WTA/ITF 'switch' field that sets the URL format, so that's not a big problem as long as there is somewhere where the format of the URLs for all of the ITF draws are the same, otherwise it'll get really fiddly!) still to find
D) does anyone know where the most accurate table of what points are awarded for each type of tournament is? DONE, thanks DJ
E) in order for me to get the projected rankings right, is there any set rule about when points are added to the rankings? (e.g. for the men, ATPs and Challengers go on the Monday after they finish, but Futures points go on with a week's delay) DONE, thanks DJ
F) is the whole ranking list on a single page anywhere, e.g. like http://stevegtennis.com/rankings/2008/s061608.htm for the men - when working out projected rankings for the following week, it is much easier to use this than to have to go through the list 100 at a time as you seem to have to do on the ATP and WTA sites DONE, thanks DJ
Preparation
If anyone would like to see this happen and is feeling very helpful, any or all of the following lists (for the GB top 10, or even the whole GB top 25) would speed up the initial setup no end (i.e. I can get them myself, but I'll be able to set the table up faster if somebody else gets them for me!) - ideally, an Excel sheet with the player's names or initials on the left and a column for each of the following:
3) Dates of birth (in the format dd/mm/yyyy) DONE, thanks The Hoose
4) Career highs up to 16 June DONE, thanks The Hoose
5) Ranking position as at the end of 2007 (for the 2008 change calculation) DONE, thanks The Hoose
6) The number of tournaments played this year up to the end of last week (qualifying or main draw, but if a player qualifies for a tournament and thus plays in both draws, it should only be counted once, so this is really a measure of the number of weeks played this year) and the number of ranking points scored (whether or not they are now part of their top N) - though if this is too much hassle, I'll just leave out those columns for now DONE, thanks The Hoose
7) (also not essential, but nice if we can include them where the O and o links are on the men's table) The URL of each player's own website, if they have one (I know Mel South has one and Sarah Borwell does blogs on a site, so that would count) and whether it gets regularly updated (like the O's on the men's table) or not (like the o's) still outstanding
If anyone is happy to do any of this, please post here first that you are going to do it so that the work doesn't get duplicated. 1)-7) above will be a huge help with the initial setup and knowing about any good info sources, i.e. A)-F) above could make the table much easier to update, which would make expanding it to the top 25 later a lot less scary!
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help with any bits of this!

That was quick, thanks very much - it can be emailed to the pickem address btpickem@hotmail.com if you manage to do it.
Re. question 7), if anyone knows of individual player websites, it would still be worth pasting them here, since they are something you either know about or you don't, whereas 1)-6) come from the same set of sources for every player.

Thanks DJ, that's a big help. I don't like the sound of 10-25Ks going on the list "a minimum of one week later" (do you get the impression that it's usually exactly a week late like Futures?) but at least it's fairly clear!

That's a real catch-all loop-hole they've built in for themselves, isn't it? But, in my relatively limited experience of watching the women's rankings, they do actually come on with just the week's delay, a la Futures or, should I say, I've never noticed any that haven't!
Thanks, this does help with A) - it's not really enough for F), because it doesn't specify whether the points to come off are part of the best 17 or not or what the 16th & 17th best scores are, so still looking for something better for that.

Right, having realised that none of the top 10 are playing in ITFs this week (which means I can ignore some of the data source problems for a few days!), I've set up a very ad hoc/on trial/probably error-strewn GB women's top 10 table at http://www.britishtennis.net/gbtop25f/currentf.htm
Comments, notes of errors, links not working, etc (plus any more answers to the as yet unanswered questions above) are very welcome, though please don't expect to see anything done about them for a few days!

Steven, I've sent you an excel file with details of all the GB senior women. I didn't include details of the players' websites so if others could post these to this forum, as you suggested, that would be great.
