Shame. That seemed like a good effort from Sarah.

As for Naomi this is a real horror show. 40-15 then loses 4 points in a row for 0-4. Up against a modest opponent she's not turned up. Had this been Birmingham qualies rather than Wimbledon qualies I expect she'd be winning comfortably.

Disappointed by Naomi's score. Can't say how badly she's playing of course but still... Fujiwara is hardly a great player.

Gutted for her. Against someone like Shvedova, she played very well. A shame she didn't quite get that last Shvedova game at 0-30 up and one bad game is sometimes all it takes. Well done for the effort Sarah, just a shame it wasn't the result we all wanted
