Overall it does not look good.

Amanda Elliott is my main pick for a win.

the 2 Annas and Naomis have a decent shot but are more likley to be on the loosing side.

Having seen tara play, if she plays well she could win easily but having seen her play thats unlikley to happen for a full match.

I was hoping Georgie would have an easier first round but that is a trough ask.

Well, it is a big 15 points for anyone wins, and a massive propulsion up the rankings....
Here's hoping for one or two. Naomi (with her big serve) and Georgie are my top hopes...

I agree with Mervatron's assessment. The oop is below. Unless there is an upset Amanda will go out last under pressure to become the first Brit winner.

Amanda's got a good draw IMO. Her section isn't bad all in all. Kostanic is coming back from injury (again) is she not? Johansson could trouble her.

I have faith in Naomi and Anna S. Georgie fought so well against Kanepi, she's got a chance if she fights like that. Sarah, as much as I love her, has an AWFUL draw but Shvedova is very hit and miss this year so I hope she can make it!

Anna F's a toughie. Liz and Tara will have problems, especially Liz who has BOOOOOOOOOOgirl.

Matches fairly close so far. Brits have saved a few bps, especially Georgie but haven't created many of their own.

Anna F broken 2-4 (rather predictable after missing her own chances the previous game)

All 4 brits now down a break and need to come up with something special to stay in the set.

Anna F has 3bps and breaks for *3-4 then holds for 4-4

Anna S saves set points but eventually loses set 3-6

Georgie broken for 3-6

Sarah loses set 4-6
