Amanda Carrerras the women's Morgan Phillips

Great going. Here's to the final.

Shame about the final result but Amanda is certainly being consistant and getting the wins. She's one to follow with interest for sure. For us die hard fans of British tennis we appreciate these types of players who are workinf hard week in week out to improve but sadly you will never see the press print anything about these sorts of players so the once a year fans (Wimbledon) always think we are total cr-p and have no one. With the upturn we are seeing in the womens game in Britain i can't wait for someone like Amanda say to go all the way to the top 50 and be competing every week at tour level. Players like her have to be encouraged even more when they are working their butt off and getting to the finals of events at the bottom of the ladder in conditions a million miles away from your grand slam but no less important in their progress upwards.

Keep it going Amanda. Reward will soon be challenger level and well deserved.

Much as it pains me to say it she's probably better than being called the female Morgan Phillips.

He's still a legend though!
