Groth served 20 aces, and won 89% of the first serve, and it's always going to be tough to beat someone who serves like that, and it's good to see Jamie playing tennis again.
Think he may have won this if it wasn't for the fact he had been injured and this was his first match back, and I think he needs to get some matches before Wimbledon, so maybe he should go to Stoke Park and play an exhibition or two there.
I'd be surprised if he could win a match at Wimbledon with him just returning from injury, unless he gets one of the clay-courters.
Now it's Boggo vs. Ward.... and the board splits....
shame to see Jamie lose, but as everyone has been saying, the main thing is that he's back and made a match of it, despite what appears to be a very good serve. You never know what the draw is going to throw up at Wimbledon and (blindly) optimistic as I am, I'll never say never with Jamie B!
As for the next match, I have no idea who I want to win. Boggo becuase I really want him to get back to winning ways, and start to show his worth...Ward becuase this is his only chance after the Wimbledon wildcard fiasco. Basically I want them both to win, shame that isn't possible! I think on balance, it would be worse for Boggo to lose (rankings, age, expectation, etc) so I hope he wins.

personally i would like ward to win
As much as I like Ward, it's far more important that Boggo wins this match I think.
A Ward wins would be great for him, but won't do a lot for Boggo's confidence going into Wimbledon, and losing to a fellow Brit ranked just inside the top 500 will really get people on his backs.
A Boggo win gives him confidence that he can win matches when he's the favourite again, and 4 wins on grass in a row would do him the world of good. And he's more likely to beat Cilic as well, and these 15 points would help him climb the rankings again and get him back into challengers and give him a seeding in the weaker ones.
I'm cheering for Boggo (that said.... I've backed Ward to win as I don't trust Boggo as a favourite in a match he should win)
a ward win would give him a lot of confidence as well though and 15 points would really make a big difference to his ranking and help him make the cut for low challengers, and to get good seedings in futures
fair point about confidence going into wimbledon though but i would still prefer ward to win just because i prefer him to boggo, but obviously i wouldnt mind if boggo does win
