Ward wins, absolutely fantastic result. He should be really happy, one match away from sealing a place in an atp event.

Concerned about the 12 double faults, and only winning 39% on the second serve, which definately needs to be improved, but winning 91% on the first serve is excellent and hopefully he can serve like that again tomorrow against Umdomchoke.

Saves match points again in a close situation after saving 3 after Klien last week, and wins another 3rd set tiebreak, so he's good in the tight matches which is a huge plus (and makes it even more strange why he just gave up against Eaton)

Think he'll lose as Umdomchoke will get a look at just enough 2nd serves to get the break, but Slabba got close to beating him so that should give Ward some confidence.

Main draw should be out now, given that it was done at 4pm.

How long do you think we'll be waiting for it to show up online?

EDIT: Hope Boggo, Goodall and Evans get nice draws, but selfishly I'd like to see Evans play Boggo or Goodall as it guarentees us a winner and gives Boggo/Goodall some nice, cheap ranking points, while Murray should beat most players in the early rounds anyway

And I've just seen the nice article on the Queens homepage about qualifying round 1.... talks about Jamie Murray's loss and has some quotes from him, but neglects to mention Ward, Bloomers and Slabba's win.

Surprised?

Bloomers wins 6-3 in the 3rd!

Great win for him and he didn't drop serve in the whole match which is back to his best, rather than the poor serving he produced at Surbiton. Another good win for him, and Jun isn't unbeatable at all so I'd be thinking he's got a great chance to qualify here and get his name back in the frame for a Wimbledon WC

Bloomers vs. Jun and Ward vs. Umdomchoke tomorrow.... 1 qualifier will be nice.... 2 will be brilliant

So its Bloomers vs Woong-Sun Jun (KOR)(230 - career high)

profile here - http://www.atptennis.com/3/en/players/playerprofiles/?playernumber=J263

And Ward vs Udomchoke (THA)(182 - career high 77)

profile here - http://www.atptennis.com/3/en/players/playerprofiles/?playernumber=U043

for 2 possible places in the main draw!
