I expect Mel to beat Fitzy in 2....watched her at Surbiton and you could see why she's had such a poor year to date, it was easily the worst match there. Some occasional good serving and net play but incapable of keeping the ball in play from the back, particularly on the backhand.  Stoopy should have beaten her 3&3 but kept making errors herself when she got the leads

Mel on the other hand came through well against a free swinging Broady, dominating off both wings by the end, taking the ball early and exposing her opponent's suspect movement

She can cause big upsets on grass, remember that win over Alicia Molik at Eastbourne last year

Elliot is 4-6, 6-3, 4-2* up against Spears.
