I agree Steven. It is possible that Kyle (who has great potential but does appear to be patchy when it comes to form) lost with just two breaks of serve and that MAtt had an off day!
Good to see Edward get a first round win so easily, and it's always good to see Brits adding another ranking point to their tallies.
Hopefully he's not a break down in the 2nd set and lost the first 6-3 with him getting broken and the end of the set, but it does look as if he's a set and a break down, which is going to be tough to recover from - hope he fights back and wins the match, but if not should be able to make it Nottingham for the qualifying then
Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive.... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience
Looks like this Poldma is extremely under-ranked due to playing college tennis in the U.S, he is probably a player to look out for in the future - looks like a class above the average Future's player at the moment.
Regardless though, that is rather a beating that Seator has taken and a result I'm sure he's not proud of.
Yes, I agree about Jaak as he had a lot of potential when he was in Juniors. It's probably too early to say whether he'll be top 100 or not, but he can be Challenger level at least, I'm sure. His college record seems good to my untrained eye- not out of the world, but still impressive when you consider that he lost just 2 of his last 27 matches in college this year.
I guess we'll find out whether this is just beginner's luck or true talent over the summer - there are Futures in Latvia or Lithuania that he could attempt and maybe Bastad qualies, too.
