I've been wondering about that, too, Billy; David often used to play doubles with Ian Flanagan, and Ian seems to have disappeared around about the same time as Dave - coincidence?
Welcome to the board, good to have another Scot with us.
David is still ranked in the top 1000 (just) but hasn't played since a losing in R1 in a Future in Thailand in mid-February. Flan was at the same event, but played in some GB Futures in March as well.
I think if people like David (and Flan and Matt Smith, who hasn't been seen in a Future since he played on the Ivory Coast in March) don't surface at all during the grass season (i.e. not even in qualifying at the post-Wimby Challenger), then we're going to have to conclude that they've retired or they have got a long-term injury. It doesn't mean they won't turn up ever again (like Jim May in Surbiton this week) but it will probably mean that they have given up any kind of regular hunt for ranking points.
