Not a great draw at all for Morgan, but I guess if he's entering these events he obviously believes he can win matches in them, so that must tell us something about the kind of form he thinks he is in.
I think he'll lose in straights, but hopefully I'll be wrong and can beat Kirillov
Go Morgan, is the rest of the field as strong as this, my pdf reader is ****ed
All 8 seeds are in the top 400 and the our who are seeded to qualify are in the top 300, including our old friend Rui Machado, who is the the top seed in Morgan's section.

Very encouraging stuff from Morgan here with a brilliant win over Kirilov and then pushed Zeballos close (and Zeballos beat Baker 3 and 1 this year on clay), so it shows the level that Morgan is at.
Just needs to start getting the points, but he doesn't seem to be entering futures though so maybe he's either trying challenger qualifying, or is just going to show up and qualify at places.
It is possible that Mors played this because he had no option - his doubles involvement made it too late to sign in for qualies at the Italian Futures that's played this week, I think.
I've noticed that he tends to do far better when he's playing in Italy - won a Futures title there, qualified for his only Challenger there (in Rimini) and now this.
