Okay, that is possible. I didn't see him at RG.

And it's obvious that Pavlyuchenkova will be a very good player, no one is doubting that. I'm saying that the AELTC are such geniuses that they chose a 15 year old who's rubbish on grass, and it was most fair that she was humiliated. And of course... the press ignored it.

Good to see someone else agrees with me on Coria. No idea if he plays to that level in Challengers though. His results suggest otherwise.

Probably his biggest problem is motivating himself to play in challengers. Must be difficult for a guy that has played in the French Open final and been in the top 10 to play at his highest level in Challengers.

out of all the players that have been mentioned, coria is the only one i'd pay to go and watch AND i didn't/don't even like him!

Some of Coria's play against Robredo was brilliant and he looked to be back to his best, but he was also making a lot of errors needlessly and missing shots by a long way as well.

The biggest problem is still the serve which is insanely weak, in terms of power, accuracy and technique, and until that is sorted out he won't win many matches as it is so easy to break, especially the second serve. All you do is stand inside the baseline as you've got a 50%+ chance of either hitting a winner or forcing an error if you play a decent shot

Coria actually has a good game for grass as his groundstrokes and passing shots are pretty good, and his touch at the net was really impressive against Robredo, and I'd like to see him given a chance (and he said he'll play Wimbledon qualies if he doesn't get a WC), but with that serve he won't win a single match at the moment.

But his serve has always been like that. Maybe not quite so bad but it's certainly never been anything other than dire

His serve was better than it is now though by a long way - at the moment his second serve is no better than a reasonably good club player's, and I'd rather face Coria's second serve than the second serve of some of the people I've played against in the past

I just read that the LTA take over Queen's from next year. w00t.gif That can only mean better wild cards.
