That is ridiculous - what is it with Anne and GS..am I right in saying she has never won a match at Wimbledon despite numerous Wild Cards?
In 2004 she beat Nicole Pratt (then ranked 41) 6-3 6-1. That's 1 win in 7 attempts but given that most of the field is going to be a totally different class then her record, while poor, is not so awful. She has had to face Sprem, Srebotnik and Jelena Jankovic so that's 3 matches she was never going to win.
Well that just caps off a miserable Roland Garros for our girls with the exception of katie. Somehow though, i don't think she will be far behind the others in heading for the exit. Really thought Anne might get a couple of wins here. If she can't manage that then how on earth is she going to stay in the top 100 very long. Plenty achieved so far this year but boy still a mountain to climb.
