the 2nd set is surely some encourgament fir boggo.
often does a play get bageled and win a match?
as hoose says probably the better bof the 2, esp if he is having off day and if boggo cna keep on findign soem sweet shots.
acutally if you rmeber his match vs acasuso in DC he was playing pretty good on clay, playing some really good shots, his problem is that sometimes they find the line, sometimes inches wide.

Just as an aside, I was surprised I hadn't heard of Dabul, given that he was seeded eight in qualifying. Turns out he's been a pro for seven years, is now 116 in the rankings, without ever having played a match in a tour event!
Unfortunately for him, he's from Argentina so I suppose there have always been a few people ahead of him in the queue for wildcards etc (plus his ranking has shot up recently following a string of successful Challengers)
Great to see Boggo winning easily here, even if it looks like his opponent wasn't quite up to the standard. Still, him winning relatively easily against someone is always good to see knowing how often in the past he has made a meal of this kind of match, or choked it away horribly.
Lopez Jaen in the next round is an interesting match, especially if he blows hot and cold like he apparantly did today, which will lead to some very anxious and horrible scoreboard watching and there's likely to be at of breaks if Boggo has one of his days where he's hot and cold as well.
I think L-J is the slight favourite for the match given he plays mostly on the clay and Boggo, well, doesn't seem to want to play on the surface, but if Boggo has his head on (not too much B'day celebrating the night before) and plays like he can he has a chance of winning this match. (wouldn't it be strange to see Boggo qualify for Roland Garros after having a less than steller year by his standards (but would also mean he wouldn't get to visit Turkey and add another country to his world tour he seems to be planning for 2008))
Thanks a million for the scores Count and everyone else who provided them. I've been out all day so really loved being able to read through the matches (faster than they actually took place often helps the nerves as well!!).
Thanks also for the report The Hoose. Great insight into the match and what a fantastic way to use a lunch break!
The signs are good from Boggo but I don't think we should expect a win from him in rd2. I hope still, but the evidence is stacked against him unfortunately :(

Unfortunately it looks like I'm going to be too busy at work to make the QR2 match - but you never know... I have Friday morning off so let's hope QR3 fits with that!
