L32: Alex Slabinsky WR 344 v Dekel Valtzer (ISR) WR 408
Valtzer snapped a 6-match losing streak by reaching the QFs of last week's Uzbek Future. He lost to Chris Eaton in 3 sets in Israel just over a year ago and to Richard Brooks, Morgan Phillips and Alan Mackin (2 & 1 in a DC dead rubber) in 2006. He hasn't lost to every Brit he's played in the last two years though - he beat Amadeus 6-1 7-6(5) in 2006 too. Over 80% of his points come from Futures & Challengers in Turkey and Asia, so like JL says, it's a pretty good draw for Slabba given that this is a Challenger.
Nice convincing wins for Chris, even if the opponents probably weren't up to much.

Another very convincing win for Chris, this time against someone who is also in the top 700, nets him 2 points. Unfortunately, he has drawn a seed in R1.
FQR: (q4) Chris Eaton WR 648 beat (q5) Alexander Yarmola (UKR) WR 680 by 1 & 2
L32: Alex Slabinsky WR 349 v Dekel Valtzer (ISR) WR 406 L32: (Q) Chris Eaton WR 660 v (5) Alex Satschko (GER) WR 318
Edit: changed WRs to 19 May rankings.

Slabba really needs a win here if he is to finish the year inside top 400 rather than back closer to 500. He just hasn't been picking up enough points in 2008. 24 points available to semi-finalists here so a couple of unlikely wins would be very handy, even the 13 for quarter finalists would be a big boost. Sadly, I rather expect Snobel will crush him but you never know.
L32: Alex Slabinsky WR 349 beat Dekel Valtzer (ISR) WR 406 by 7-5 3-6 6-2 L32: (Q) Chris Eaton WR 660 lost to (5) Alex Satschko (GER) WR 318 by 3 & 3
L16: Alex Slabinsky WR 349 v (6) Pavel Snobel (CZE) WR 314
Snobel, who reached a career high of 178 in 2005, reached the Final of the Namangan Future last week (beating Valtzer in stright sets on the way) but managed to lose it despite bagelling Ilhan in the 1st set.The last time he played a Brit was when he beat Jonny Marray in Wimby qualifying two years ago. He has an alarmingly good record against Brits, including two straight sets wins against Boggo, though they were both back in 2004.
