from the matches i saw there on thursday the field wasnt particularly strong. erakovic should have lost 2nd round to czink, if czink hadnt completely imploded mentally. then wickmayer should have beaten erakovic, but erakovic would have just poked the ball around and played her crappy backhand slice. keothavong would have lost 2nd round if rolle wasnt so fat and if rolle could actually hit a half decent volley
Anne probably wont ever win a slam or get particularly close but she is maximising her potential, and I personally am glad of that and am willing to root for her.

theres no probably about it. she definitely will never win a slam and will definitely never get anywhere near.
and checking through anne's matches from this year, she has only beaten 2 players ranked above her and the majority of her losses have come to people ranked below her. does that logic not show that she is overranked?
No, Anne and Erakovic both have inflated rankings but the reasons given in your previous posts were totally wrong.
And regarding Anne never coming close to a GS being a definite... there are no definites in tennis, as shown by the fact that a 37 year old who's been out of the game for 12 years can reach a 50K final on her comeback. I am not saying Anne will, it's just that you can do everything in life with a certain amount of talent and a lot of self belief. And if she doesn't, big deal! She has worked hard enough to maximise her potential and no matter what she does in her career after this, she will be considered as one of the few successes British tennis has had in the last decade.
Best ignore Jazar, he is just a pratt trying to get your back up. Gives nobody any credit, just ignore his comments and he might go back to his sad little corner of this world.

to be perfectly honest, i know more about tennis than you could ever hope to know and my opinions are as valid as anyone elses. in case you didnt know, this thing we are on is called a forum and its purpose is to let people share their opinions. you may not like mine, but that doesnt mean i'm going to stop giving them
If you are basing your conclusions on the one match you saw then perhaps that didn't show Anne at her best (or perhaps it did and you were still underwhelmed). For example I saw Amelie Mauresmo fail to keep a ball in court against Francesca Schiavone in Moscow in 2005, if I were to base my evaluation of Mauresmo on that match I'd have said she was completely overrated, shouldn't really be top 50 or even top 100, and the fact that she won slams after the event would have been shocking to me. Fortunately I have seen Amelie play live subsequently and on TV and know that she is a player of fluctuating ability that is linked to her tempermant and recognise that she isn't overrated, just unpredictable. Now I'm not saying that Anne has the talent of a Mauresmo on an 'on' day, but I'm saying that she might be capable of more than you have seen.
We are suppose to support GB tennis not hear negativity all the time, the women hear this crap enough in the press. Apart from that i have 20 years more experiance than you at following British tennis. You are 20 and know nothing.
