actaully i think boggo and wardy are not are bad partnership, ward can maybe benefit from playing with boggo and looking at his grass ct point construction.

Yes, great result for Chris, the only sad thing is that the draw worked out the way it did, since there are Brits who have gone out in other sections whom you'd expect to have a bigger chance in the main draw than Eaton or Bamfs.

Here's the summary then, for those getting here 'late':
QR2: (WC) Jonny Marray WR 1673 beat Jim May WR 903 by 5 & 3 QR2: Ken Skupski WR 551 lost to (q2) Martin Fischer (AUT) WR 253 by 5-7 6-2 7-5 (Ken had 2 MPs at 5-3 ) QR2: Richard Bloomfield WR 376 lost to (q3) Prakash Amritraj (IND) WR 260 by 4 & 4 QR2: Chris Eaton WR 644 beat James Ward WR 488 by 7-5 2-6 6-1 QR2: Neil Bamford WR 802 beat Luka Gregorc (SLO) WR 421 by 4 & 5
FQR: (WC) Jonny Marray WR 1673 trails (q1) Frank Dancevic (CAN) WR 111 by 4-6 FQR: Chris Eaton WR 644 v Neil Bamford WR 802
I guess with no players seeded, we should be happy with three in the FQR and one guaranteed qualifier. I'm just sad about a couple of the losses by players who might have had a chance in the main draw had they got there ... or then again, maybe not on this evidence.
L32: (WC) Alex Bogdanovic WR 242 v (2) Mischa Zverev (GER) WR 81 L32: (WC) Alex Slabinsky WR 334 v Qualifier L32: (WC) Josh Goodall WR 274 v Brendan Evans (USA) WR 179

Jonny's game very competitive, got broken in a game of five deuces in the seventh game. Had a break point to break back which he just missed down the line, other than that, both players held comfortably.
Sounds pretty close, hope he can come back tomorrow. Apparently there is at least one LL place as well so a 1 in 4 chance for that because its done by a draw now not on rankings.
Great result for Chris Eaton, no disrespect to Bamford but it's more promising for the future if Chris can qualify than Bamford realistically.
