and Now ForeverDelayed goes to see if he can find a train home for a well earned rest. As I said to him - he has probably seen much more tennis than expected in view of the weather forecast this morning. Didn't he do well?
Well done James and thanks Daniel for all the scores, and MJD for posting them!
Here's the summary then, subject to confirmation.

Good performances from all the Brits playing non-Brits really, they nearly all did better than would be expected from their rankings.
Monday's matches
QR2: Jim May WR 903 v (WC) Jonny Marray WR 1673 (winner to play (q1) Frank Dancevic (CAN) WR 111 or Frederik Nielsen (DEN) WR 312)
QR2: Ken Skupski WR 551 v (q2) Martin Fischer (AUT) WR 253 (winner to play (q5) Noam Okun (ISR) WR 271 or Clement Reix (FRA) WR 653)
QR2: Richard Bloomfield WR 376 v (q3) Prakash Amritraj (IND) WR 260 (winner to play (q8) Rohan Bopanna (IND) WR 310 or Sergei Bubka (UKR) WR 635)
QR2: James Ward WR 488 v Chris Eaton WR 644 QR2: Neil Bamford WR 802 v Luka Gregorc (SLO) WR 421
To be honest, it's still hard to see any Brits qualifying here, but at least there are some in with a chance, especially in section 4 where there are no seeds left, though even there, Gregorc is probably still the favourite to make it.
Main draw
L32: (WC) Alex Bogdanovic WR 242 v (2) Mischa Zverev (GER) WR 81 L32: (WC) Alex Slabinsky WR 334 v Qualifier L32: (WC) Josh Goodall WR 274 v Brendan Evans (USA) WR 179
Since beating Kohli and Pics in Rotterdam, Zverev has only won 3 of his last 16 matches, admittedly mainly at ATP level. Boggo does have good memories of the one time they played too - he came back from a set down against Zverev to win the Final of the Shrewsbury Challenger in 2006! In fact, this means that Boggo has beaten the two top seeds here the only times he has played them, yet look what's happened to their relative rankings since ...
Evans has lost to Jamie Baker in USO qualifying and to Ken Skupski on grass in the last 12 months.

Think we've now got an excellent chance in Q4, I expect James Ward to come through that section.
Good win for Bloomers, Delgy is a quality player on grass, though I dont know what sort of shape he is in.
Agree with some of the earlier comments about not enough events on grass, we could do with Wimbledon moving back two weeks and then having an extra two weeks between RG and Wimbledon on grass, it could make a big difference to our guys rankings and would still leave plenty of time before US Open for a hard court run.
On another subject what chance do you think there would be of making a commercial success of an Indoor Hard ATP event in the UK, maybe at NIA or some such, is there enough interest in Tennis for that to work in maybe Feb/ March or Sept/ Oct?
What does anyone think??
PS Good luck Jonny!! (and all our other boys) except Jim May in the nicest possible way!!
Oh really, I must have learnt that from a rather uninformed source. So what would you say Boggo's chances are against him?

Zverev looked reasonably comfortable on grass, but that was wimbledon when he'd probably already played three or four weeks, I guess he's come to surbiton straight from clay, wheras Boggo is an excellent grass court player, so I would expect Boggo to win.
Zverev's in poor form and Boggo plays better when there isnt as much pressure on him with less expectation, so hopefully it can be the start of a good grass court run for him.
