QR1: Orion Modebe UNR v Jakub Jastrzebski (POL) UNR
We will have James, Edward and Miles in the main draw here, but I was half expecting to see the likes of Bammy in qualifying here. Since only Orion is there, that means that only one player in the GB 14-24 range is playing in a tournament in a week when there are masses opportunities to go for Futures or Challenger qualifying with much weaker draws than usual.
Still, I guess the tournaments in the coming week are mainly on clay so maybe they are saving themselves for the next batch of GB Futures leading up to the Surbiton Challenger.

Oh, I missed that. Well, he has played more tournaments than any other Brit this year, I guess he needs a rest sometime. Orion actually had a bye in QR1 and his QR2 match has been held over until tomorrow.

I should have thought of that when I suggested James looked a little 'languid' in Edinburgh - he's perfectly entitled to have looked a little languid given the unremitting schedule he's had this year - my apologies, James.
hes withdrawn from kuwait too. maybe doing challenger q's?
The Uzbekistan challenger next week is always a weak draw because of the French open qualies/clay court season, remember Josh getting direct entry with a rank of about 350 last year so would not suprise me to see Wardy and Eaton in the qualies as its almost a giveaway 2 points for them
I watched Capkovic beat Boggo 4&1 at Shrewsbury last year, massive guy, was pumped up, and had a big game, but made a few ue's. Not sure if his game would be entirely suited to clay.
Well, I'm not at this tournament and I hoped to translate articles from the website that futures has, but apparently the press office boss doesn't bother writing anything, and what is posted, is some mug author's thoughts of a web designer (very lousy comments and not about tennis).
But I got a media accreditation confirmation for Queens so I hope to see you all there! Party!
Now I'm waiting for Eastbourne confirmation, but I think I won't get it, because I needed references from the tennis magazine I write for and needed to send it via normal post, and it was stuck for 2 weeks despite sending by priority, and we missed the deadline.
So I guess I'll stay in London and watch Wimbledon Q.
