The thing that surprises me (and it's not really anything to do with those two, obviously) is that given that the most momentous events of the week (i.e. winning titles) happen at the weekend, there seems to be nobody at the LTA to put reports on the site at the weekend.
They wouldn't even need to be in the office - it could be simply achieved by arranging to have someone work from home for an hour or two at the weekend filing news reports if anyone wins something or reaches a final.

It looks like BBC Radio Northampton are interested in Alex's progress after all, it's just that my email didn't reach their Sports Editor until today. (there was only a general email address on their site)
He has replied thanking us for the info, since it is sometimes difficult to follow all of their local competitiors in Northamptonshire (understandably so when they are out in Spain!) and that nobody else had told them the news. He has asked me to email any updates on Alex's progress direct to him, so that's great news for the future - obviously I will do if he has any more results like this.

LOL yes. Maybe we should collectively apply for Neil Harman's job when he retires. (if you're reading this, Neil, I'm joking ... well kind of ... and hope you'll go on writing for many years yet!)
Anyway, it must have been on the radio because the local press has picked it up, even mentioning us - there's more about this on the Valldoreix thread, but since it's about this tournament, I'd better put the link here too:
