Shame that it wasn't closer but it has still been an excellent week. Now lets hope this week is not a flash in the pan, although I don't think we should expect to see this sort of run every week from Ward, i.e lets not get too excited just yet!
A shame that he could hold the run for one more match but still an exceptional week so not really disappointed.

Contrary to the tournament website it was 18 y.o. Alexander Ward who played here, in the process earning his first ranking points and Futures final. This is confirmed by all of the ITF records.
Nice to know that someone at the LTA is keeping their eye on things at the weekend.
