RE: Week 19 - Womens ITF (10K) - Edinburgh

Gentlemen - cool it, please. This is supposed to be a tennis board.

Wow, I bet Greenleaf didn't expect all that to kick off.

Back to the original point though - Jenny Ren shouldn't have taken the WC, the qualies will be weak and she could have saved it for another event later in the year.

To put my 2 cents worth in.

As a welsh person i agree with the view that if a welsh/scotish or northern irish person wins anything they are british but if they loose they are there own nationality.

Joe Calzaghe has been totally ignored by the british media untill his last 2 fights.

A prime example of the biased medai this year was the 6 nations. Wales won the garndslam but the greatest coverage was given to england beating france/ireland. And also when Wales won it was 'but the tournament wasn't very good'. if Engladn would ahve won the grandslam you could bet it had been because they fought through tough times and came through the other end.

Some good wins there-many against higher ranked opponents. Liz Thomas will be a bit upset by the second set, though.
