Second set down the pan 2-6. Wonder if they'll manage to hold out in the MTB...
Well, well, well! 10-3 in the MTB! There's a pleasant surprise! Andy's finally getting some proper match practice on the red stuff!
The fifth seeds, Coetzee & Ullyett, in Round 2, presumably tomorrow.
* Here's hoping Big Bruv & the Beast can do a similar demolition job on López & Verdasco in an hour or so's time on Court 3, after the Karlo/Montanes encounter, which currently stands at 7-7 in the first set tie-break!
Well done to Murray/Hutchins for the win so at least Andy knows he can win doubles matches on the clay and he gets some more practise on it.
Hopefully M and M can also get a win today but Lopez/Verdasco are a relatively good doubles team (for singles players anyway) and would be favourites to win in my opinion.
The good news if they win is they don't have to face Erlich and Ram who lost in straight sets earlier today.... the bad news would be that they were beaten by Arnold and Nalbandian
Well done Andy and Ross. Disappointing again from M & M but they weren't the only seeds to bite the dust today: Hanley/Paes, Erlich/Ram and now Nestor/Zimonjic all gone. The latter to that man Ancic and his partner Zverev. Must be the clay.
