I thought week 18 had quite a lot of Futures, but week 19 must break a record - there are no less then 16 Futures scheduled, as many as this week and last week combined. Hopefully that means points are going to be a bit easier to come by than usual if people pick the right ones to enter.

I think that Thornley will benefit greatly from going to Greece. Will be nice to have jonny marray back in action too. If he can get as good results as he did when he played the British tour then he should be able to get back in the ranking, are there three greek futures?
The first one is a 10K, so there must be three of them. (Futures have to be scheduled in 30K blocks, which is probably why our two clay court ones are 15Ks)
We've had a lot of success in these Futures in the past, so unless they've now been 'discovered' by lots more players (which they probably haven't if there are 16 Futures on next week), hopefully it'll be a points-fest again.
That must mean a lot of PTDs this month though - I haven't checked May for the top 25 table yet.

Yes, though I think Miles Kasiri is defending the most - 16 from the first two Finals, then Tom Rushby reached the third one. Chris Eaton reached 2 QFs too.

Tom last appeared in Spain two weeks ago (week 16), where he withdrew before his first match. Ian played in our Futures in week 13, losing both singles and doubles in round one. Matt played in week 11 in the Ivory Coast, losing in the second round. David and Richard both in the qualifying rounds in a Thai Future ten weeks back. Tom's sounds like an injury or an illness; Matt, David and Richard all last played in parts of the world where Brits sensitive health/bodies often seem susceptible - viri, perhaps? Ian has, for some time, been very much his own man as far as regularity of appearances is concerned! I know there are no answers there, but a little information you might like to chew over.
There's still a chance that Goodall can make Rome qualifying if that is where he wants to play
Currently... he's 6th on the alternate list, but there are rumours that Granolles and Ventura are out, putting him 4th.
Massu's in the semi's for Tunis tomorrow so can't play, putting Goodall 3rd, while a Serra win later today and Zverev doubles win in Barcelona would eliminate them from the qualifying list putting Goodall 1st alternate
Unfortunately Schwank will probably be able to play in Rome qualies and the Rome semi's so he'll be able to play, so Goodall will still need 1 withdrawal (or 2 withdrawls from the main draw to get Bolelli in and free up a WC for one of the Italians in qualifying (and Tsonga still hasn't pulled out so that could be one))
This time last year Amanda Elliot was battling the rain in Edinburgh in a 10k now in qualies in a 75k event in Croatia. Well done to her and all the best this week.
She never lost a set through qualies in Edinburgh last year and lost to Jade in the last 16 in 3 sets.
