Think this will take her to c. 114 (20 points gained). Another win to c. 104 (40 points), but a little uncertain as am not sure what her bottom win is in ranking points, and what others are gaining/losing.
Anyway, good for Katie after a couple of tournaments where she's not gone deep.
Wimbledon 60 (Mandatory) Eastbourne 50 Tashkent 30 Australian Open 25 St. Malo 20 (so far) Glasgow 17 Midland 15 Jersey (07)/Istanbul/Nuriootpa/Mount Gambier 12 Indian Wells 10 Gifu/Fukuoka 9 (both will come off before Wimbledon cutoff) Surbiton/Nottingham/Jersey (08) 7
I'm very pleased for Katie that she has been rewarded for her bravery in sticking to a tough schedule of Tour/ high value challengers despite lots of early defeats. If she wins tomorrow it will be her best-ever in ranking terms outside the UK
Tomorrow's OOP is:
Court Central 11.30 am (10.30 BST) Renata VORACOVA (CZE) vs Roberta VINCI (ITA) Q Suivi de Katie O''BRIEN (GBR) [6] vs Stephanie COHEN-ALORO [4]
Such a shame it was not close but a decent week. It was a make or break match and so fac Katie has come up short in all of them. Her match vs Savchuk where she had MP would ahve seen her basicaslly top 100 now.
