Yes, that would be worthwhile ... but it must take some real skill to manage to lose money on the Wimby warm-up tournaments, I had no idea they were doing that.


If the report is right and they are losing £1.5 million it is just horrific to be honest. No other country seems to be losing £375,000 per event and judging by the entry lists I can't imagine Birmingham and Nottingham pay players an awful lot to show up.

By revealing the losses they've shot themselves in the foot really as questions have to be asked how they've managed to do that

Very true Steven!

You missed one, however -

"Those fans who follow British tennis but do not play should NOT be allowed to follow the progress of players and results in 'British Tennis' magazine." (This plus Ace was available to Advantage club members and included in the £30 per year membership).

"So lets charge a new membship of £25 to those not affiliated with any club and then we can charge an extra £33 as an optional extra for Ace and British Tennis mags, that way they will not be able to find out what's happening, which in turn will reduce criticism of the LTA" - Oh and by the way "lets stop issuing magazines in March even to those whose Advantage membship was not due to expire yet! Afterall, if we cancel all events in the UK there will be no news to follow anyway!"

Oh yes -  "We dont want all those erks going to Wimbledon do we? So lets reduce the price of the new membership to £15 if they choose not to be included in the Wimbledon Ballot for tickets that they would pay for anyway!"

Yes, guess who has not renewed her LTA membership?

I can get all the British tennis info that I want on here anyway. And despite the LTA ballot being supposed to have a higher chance than the public ballot, I have NEVER got tickets that way - always from the public ballot!

So - blbl.gif to them!
