He got food poisoning along with Boggo according to Count Zero....he was meant to play this week......Alex wasnt too badly affected but perhaps Jamie has got it bad ?

yeah i dont think he did have the same as alex after all, maybe just a coincidence they got unwell togther and where training toegter

 I think Jamie has mentioned in the past that he struggles phonetically with the word 'day' and instead uses '24 hours'.  Something to do with his lack of dipthongization technique..

Oops!  Caught fair & square with me pants down there! redface.gif  Should've been "die", of course.  Can't believe I missed that - disbelief.gif - but in my defence, which no monolingual Brits will believe, I have to point out that speakers of most of the other western European foreign languages with which I am acquainted would pronounce the word "day" in much the same way as we English-speakers pronounce the word "die" (or "dye"), so I must have been typing on auto pilot! wink.gif  That said, I've no wish to trivialise any potential medical condition from which Jamie may currently be suffering! hmm

Of course I don't! nana.gif  And your posts are a little difficult to avoid on the threads I tend to read! wink  The oversight is easily explained:  when I previewed the post, I felt I hadn't articulated my thoughts properly, so I changed things round a bit - & missed out "missed" in the rearranged sentence. angered.gif  And before you ask, yes, I'm a perfectionist, in matters of language at least.  I can't help it, it's the way I'm made... sheepish.gif
