The new rankings system

(For people who have not been seen it, if you are equal on points with someone else, the less main draws you have played in the better.)

Arrrrrrrgggggh.

You can just imagine this scenario. A player loses in the final qualifying round, but gets offered a chance to play as a lucky loser on the morning the event starts, but it is against the top seed. The player turns down the offer, saying "no thanks I don't want my ranking to decrease".

No. I can't possibly imagine that scenario. In fact a big LOL to anyone even thinking that that scenario might come about EVER.

Yikes. I am blowed if I am going to try to sort that out on my spreadsheet - if any players have equal points I can only have them wrong by a place or two. It's not worth the hassle!

spreadsheet - wise, if you just cut and paste tournaments played from steveg's table it works fine.

again i dont think this will be an issue.

most players will have a belief that they can win, pulling out b4 a match cause you dont fancy it just doesnt happen, not even dee does that!

also i doubt the players spend much time tracking the in and outs of weekly ranking shifts.

Can you give me a link to that, Rob, please? I can't find it! (Admittedly the brain is rather fuzzy at the moment)
