"Patient won 60 60 modebe vs zugunde in a 3rd set. I lost 60 60 stayed on court for 35 mins. Won 15 points, had deuce 2 in one game and led 30-0 in another game" @13:49
I asked how it compared with playing against a good club player: "Serve alot harder and very difficult to get a return in. Harder groundstrokes as well. His movement was a bit suspect though! No official news on wcs but bains has one. Noone else who could have one seems to be here though!"
Celt is a good player. His serve is faster than anything I've ever faced before and not only that it has a lot of topsin and lands on the back line most of the time.
I did catch him with 2 or 3 drop shots though which surprised him, but I think he knew that he was never going to lose the match so wasn't playing at his best.
I got the loudest cheer of the day when I hit a backhand smash for a winner after dominating a point... problem was I was a set and 4-0 down at the time, and he led 40-0 in that game.
The crazy pole (can't be bothered to type his name) is by far the best player on show today though. The guy he was playing has a huge serve and he was just standing on the baseline and hitting either a clean winner or forcing an error almost every time. He was 5-1 up when I left but I'd be shocked if he didn't win this match and then go on to qualify.
I'll put some proper reports of the matches up later today and will probably be going again tomorrow to see the other matches
Yes, 15 more than I could manage too - well done! Who knows what would have happened had qualifying been fuller and you'd got a non-seed - clearly a few games at least, I think.
Re. WCs thanks for letting us know about the Bains WC. I'm guessing the others are going to Smith, Flan and Brewer else why wouldn't they be in qualifying. With the main draw not starting until Tuesday (yes, they have to spread just under two rounds of qualifying over three days LOL), I'm not surprised they haven't turned up yet.

I'd have thought that Illingworth may have got one after he won a round last week, along with Flanagan and Smith or Morgan after he showed promise last week and he is rated by some of the players (who think he's better than Murray at his age)
But I couldn't see any of them there and neither were their names up on the practise sheet board so no indication of anything yet.
Tomorrow may give a better idea if some of the other Brits are practising on decide to come for the first time
You're probably right about Illingworth and Morgan, it would make more sense. Maybe some of the three I mentioned couldn't be bothered to turn up for qualifying after not getting in, they must be kicking themselves now since they would all have been seeded to qualify!
