Slabba, Eaton & Kinsella have got to travel 1,332 miles from Moscow (Russia F1) to Tyumen in Siberia for Russia F2 !!!

It's in the middle of nowhere!!  shocked.gif

[Probably should stop talking geography now...ashamed]

They've given themselves enough time to make the journey anyway.

It's interesting that the Tyumen cut is currently the same as this week's Moscow cut, you'd have thought it would be much lower. The advice to players says:

"Road Directions to Site: Airport - 12 km from site, Train station - 2,5 km from site Additional Travel Information: Players should travel from previous or to next tournament in the series by plane. There are 8 flights a day from Moscow, and direct flights from Munich."

Maybe going out so early was a cunning plan to enable them to make the trip on the trans-Siberian railway?

Edit: just checked the map and it's not that bad - I thought you meant it was over near Irkutsk or at least Novosibirsk, but it's only just east of Ekaterinburg near the Europe-Asia border and only a day and a half from Moscow by train. Apparently it has the highest standard of living of any Russian city apart from Moscow.

As with the previous week, no Brits have turned up for qualifying in Russia.  Nobody in China qualifying either.

Sigh.  Delete Andy from Valencia - he has pulled out because of a virus infection.

The Brits have finally given up on being made to look like Turkeys in Antalya - Seator is in Melilla and there is no sign of the younger Brits in the Q draw.

Morgan Phillips is in the Valencia qualifying draw. He plays 8th seed David Marrero of Spain. Good luck, Morgan!
