It's interesting that the Tyumen cut is currently the same as this week's Moscow cut, you'd have thought it would be much lower. The advice to players says:
"Road Directions to Site: Airport - 12 km from site, Train station - 2,5 km from site Additional Travel Information: Players should travel from previous or to next tournament in the series by plane. There are 8 flights a day from Moscow, and direct flights from Munich."
Maybe going out so early was a cunning plan to enable them to make the trip on the trans-Siberian railway?
Edit: just checked the map and it's not that bad - I thought you meant it was over near Irkutsk or at least Novosibirsk, but it's only just east of Ekaterinburg near the Europe-Asia border and only a day and a half from Moscow by train. Apparently it has the highest standard of living of any Russian city apart from Moscow.
