Shock!  Horror!  The South African qualifier, our old friend, Kevin Anderson, has taken out NoDjo, the third seed! omg.gif  He won 7-6(1) 3-6 6-4 in a shade under 2 hours 22 minutes! eyepopping.gif  That said, how many times do we see that sort of thing happen to a player who appears to be on a roll...?!!!

Quite! - But if it was Davydenko ATP would want to see his grand-mother's telephone bill furious

A senseless tank from Djokovic (or Anderson played the match of his life/Djokovic was awful)

With the break he's had, matches every two days and the fact he's defending 500 points it doesn't make sense to tank a match.

At least I didn't have him to win the tournament...

Whoops! I've just posted this on the AM thread.ashamed Gasquet has lost the first set to Tursunov, too.

But proceeded to level the match by taking the second set tie-break 7-2!  Still, not a particularly good evening for the seeds so far, since Lubo (23) went out to Fabrice Santoro 6-7(2) 6-2 3-6 a short while ago & Jarkko Nieminen (25) (admittedly no great loss!) to Nicolas Kiefer 3 & 2 earlier on! wink

Tursonov led *4-3 and *5-4, but got broken on both occasions.

I think Nadal saved a set point against Becker at *4-5, but took the first set 7-5 and now leads 2-0 in the second

And another seed bites the Miami dust:  Tursunov took the third set tie-break - & the match - 7-5! omg.gif

4 more seeds gone in the first four matches today. LOL (in pick 'em, none of the first three wins were picked by more than 3% of us, the Tipsy win, while a rankings upset, was more 'expected')

JWT is now up a  break, so he's probably going to pull his irons out of the fire!  Same can't be said of Robredo, Karlo, Verdasco or Kohlschreiber, though, who all lost.  Chela's just levelled at a set all...  I make it nine seeds out so far! disbelief.gif

Make that ten - & the second seed to be downed by a qualifier, Chela eventually succumbing to Minar 3-6 7-5 3-6! eyepopping.gif   I pray to God AM doesn't slip on a similar banana skin... pray.gif

So Nole finally got a telling off for his ball bouncing antics and couldn't get it back together.

Well done Mr Anderson!
