Cracking performances by David. Starting to remind me of how Ward did a year and half ago, qualifying and then pulling some surprises and raking up ranking points here and there and slowly climbing up the rankings. Hopefully this will make some of the snobs at LTA eat their words

I know opinion is split on the LTA's 'involvement' in this years junior Oz Open however I believe that some players need to have a fire lit beneath them before they can really begin to reach their full potential.

Or the Tough Love Policy has worked.
Just goes to show that TLP is often better than TLC.....
hes makin easy work of the higher ranked opponents, i bet the person he faces next isn't going to fancy facing a rather unknown quantity who has dispatched two highly rated opponents with ease. Maybe Morgan has taught Ricey the knack of knocking off the seeded and highly ranked players!
Herr Flock has not been tested so far....only dropping 7 games. David will have his work cut out again but winning against WR471 and WR695 in the two previous rounds is no fluke and Im sure Herr Flick will be wary.
If David does get through then it could be the second seed in the semis...but he had a huge struggle against the world no 1255 to get to this stage so maybe Perez-Perez could cause an upset.
So best of Luck to David.....and may Herr Flick have a sleepless night...
Another fabulous result - this run has probably been the best of the year for sheer unexpectedness!

It must be quite disconcerting to play someone with a pronounced limp. I wonder if von Smallhausen will be posing as a balboy and giving David the evil eye from the net ...
Moving onto more serious matters, today's win takes Machado's astonishing winning streak to 25 matches - he's 28-1 this year and 56-4 in sets!
