I'd expect even less of him then as he got a pretty stinking draw against no2 seed Bobby Reynolds. No other brits in the main draw but seeing as lowest ranked DA was 295 I don't suppose it's that surprising.
That's really what you'd expect for a draw for a Brit isn't it?
Horrible draw, although Reynolds is by no means unbeatable, with the illness he's picked up and the fact he's not had a great season means I'm not expecting him to win this match.
Kim in round 2 wouldn't be easy either so it doesn't look like it's going to be a high scoring week for Boggo when he most needs to pick up a series of points.
If Boggo can play like he did for parts of the Troicki match (not the meltdown parts though) he could win the tournament, but he's just as likely to go down easily in round 1
Tremendous win for the lad! He has a return engagement with Reynolds at 18.00 local time/23.00 BST today, when he & Mustafa Ghouse take on Rajeev Ram & him, the third seeds. Here's hoping this somewhat unexpected singles victory really will prove to be a confidence-booster...
ram and bobby are both out of the singles, so either they will fight like hell to stay in the competiton this week or decide they have had enough of puerto rico and want to go home!
as for boggo if he is not feeling 100% on his fitness i doubt he will push too hard in the dubs, not with so much at stake in the singles. still if he can keep winning its good for the spirit. dont think he has played with ghouse b4 tho, so no idea how thery will work out.
