lta muck up

i think someone may need to tell the lta that their ranking system in the womens section has got very muddled up!! this could effect peoples entry into tournaments if they dont have world rankings!
anna hawkins(doubles specialist now) ranked 5 in singles cavaday is something like 18 its crazy

Is that not because the LTA only count LTA tournaments? And isn't the ranking for entry lists taken from the WTA list?

I know very little about women's tennis so I may be completely wrong!

The LTA rankings include domestic and International - the International points are multiplied by 10 (??) in the calculations.

However things do looked mucked up ... Jade Curtis has 18750 points off only 31 WTA points, yet Naomi has 11750 off 151 WTA points!

The LTA ranking is used as a national ranking in tournament entries where no international or european ranking is available, so will not affect any of the international players.

well if you are top 5 in singles in britain you get all expenses paid for certain tournaments, and i think top 15 you are allowed freely to train at roehampton whenever. maybe bit wrong though.
