there was only 1 ll last year. so maybe not that many come up.

also once the seeds are out of the way how do they do ll's randomly or on ranking?

I'm sure it's on ranking - it normally is and it's only the ITF events where they have the random draw

There's 5 qualifiers in the draw so there's already 1 LL spot, but no-one else in the draw is someone who looks like they may pull out

grrrr

what is it about douhly baggeling alex!!

i thought it was a blip last year, maybe he has just got alex's game spot on, maybe alex was just too tired from yesterday, very depressing either way.

come on LL i guess.

But the good news is, lucky loser Boggo gets in anyway, Would have been nice to get the 3 points but never mind. He plays Kristof Vliegen in the 1st round. The bad news is he will play Gonzo if he gets through!!

LOL I fear the 3 points for qualifying would have been easier to get than getting any points of Vliegen, but at least he's in there! Still, I was thinking today that if he qualified and got that draw, I'd fancy his chances against Gonzo in R2 if he managed to get past Vliegen. After all, if anyone can outscore Boggo in the A level Muppetry exam, Gonzo would have to be the person! smile.gif

Hmm, I thought "Donald Young = Boggo threw them a bung" ... then I got it!

Bad news, good news, bad news from Sunrise today then.

Disappointing loss for Boggo today, but I hope the bagel was because he was aware of a LL spot rather than just a poor performance

At least he's in the draw but Vliegen is possibly the worst draw he could have got (and Dlouhy got the easy draw)

Guessing he wasn't ranked high enough when the entry list came out and didn't want to play qualifying

Not sure how much credence to give the Sunrise site, but it looks as though Boggo & Obradovic beat Allegro & Gicquel (4) 6-3 3-6 [10-7], while Hutch & Thomas lost to Guccione & Haase 4 & 4! confused smile cry

Well that would be surprising to say the least - didn't expect either result

Always good to see Boggo get some doubles points, but Hutch needs them more
