i *think* alex won. might be wrong tho, which is really annoying me.
Are you talking about his second qualifying match, Count? I'd dearly like to know the outcome of that, but the tounament site is absolutely bloody useless & MTF no better...!

Im sure he means the second....I agree event site and mtf no info...atp no joy either....trying some betting sites now...
yes 2nd rd, my soucre is normally 100% accurate, but they didnt find out if it was 1st or 2nd match, the time though makes me think 2nd match (unless for some reason they didnt play the 2nd rd)

They've definately started playing QR2 as we know that Levy beat Gabashvilli, so hopefully Boggo did win his match (and I'd expect him to have beaten Lacko or Todero)
Becker lost in QR1 so he won't have to play him in the final round which is a good thing - probably will be Niemeyer or Dlouhy, both of whom Boggo has a great chance to beat (although it feels weird to be discussing Boggo's chances of qualifying for a challenger)
MTF now has Boggo beat Todero 6-1 5-7 7-6(2) and plays Dlouhy (I didn't see that coming!), who beat Niemeyer, in the FQR!
QR1: Alex Bogdanovic WR 180 beat (WC) Georg Bastl (SUI) WR 470 by 4 & 2 QR2: Alex Bogdanovic WR 180 beat Nicolas Todero (ARG) WR 320 by 1-6 7-5 7-6(2)
FQR: Alex Bogdanovic WR 180 v Lukas Dlouhy (CZE) WR 174
An odd looking FQR given that the two seeds in this section were ranked 109 and 148, but we're not complaining.
Dlouhy beat Boggo 4-6 6-2 6-0 in Indian Wells qualifying last year but Boggo beat him 4-6 7-5 7-5 in Wroclaw (it's beginning to look like you don't want to win the 1st set in one of their matches!) and 6-3 7-5 in New Caledonia in 2005.
You can do this, Alex!

I know, you do get (a measly) 3 points for qualifying though, so it's just about worth doing!
Apparently the organisers thought they were going to get Duckboy, but he turned them down - probably because the TD sounded too please that he'd lost to Haas! LOL
What a rubbish site they have for such a high-level Challenger.

Oh wow, now it's really worth qualifying! The Q's have all avoided seeds in R1 and will play Vliegen, Capdeville, Berlocq (the guy Bloomers thrashed at Wimby two years ago) or Reynolds.
Of course this may change if a LL place appears next to a seed before Q/LLs are placed in the draw, but with Gonzo, Nieminen, Starace, Seppi, Tipsy, Grosjean, Gicquel & Montanes seeded here, the draw as it stands could hardly have been better for the qualifiers.

Boggo has teamed up with Obradovic (SRB) for the doubles here and they have somehow managed to blag a WC. They play no. 4 seeds Allegro & Gicquel first.
Hutch has got in too with Thomas (USA) and they meet Guccione & Haase in R1.

good result from alex, nice to see him digging it out. another 10am start for him, lets hope it goes like it did yesterday. i think the earky starts are better for him as he prefers it not too hot/humid. let see of he can get some payback on dlouhy.
interesting to see such a tight match after an easy 1st set? maybe al started to run out of steam as we feared he might?
no idea on the wc, maybe obradovic is a local, i think alex and him played miami ch doubles recently.
dloiuhy hasnt had a particuarly great year, qualifed for the aoq with possibly the easiest draw ever (bt players ranked 315, 383, 298! to make it in) b4 losing to a-rod in straights. best win was over meyer at wroclaw. lost to devost 3&1 at IWq

He might have run out of steam, but in that case it's even more impressive that he held his nerve enough not to collapse after losing the 2nd and to win that last tiebreak.

There do seem to have been some early signs of a Brad effect in the last couple of weeks. I'm actually expecting him to win these days. Perhaps Alex could take out a sub-prime loan to fund Brad's services on a permanent basis!
