Just rung in for some early scores and the only one she could give me was that fitzy lost 6-4, 6-1. I like introducing myself as somebody calling on behalf of Britishtennis.net. Makes me sound official lol.

Seems like unfortunately we were right that he had a rubbish draw then, but keeping that first set competitive suggests a reasonably good performance. smile.gif

Calling in on behalf of britishtennis.net should work fine until one day two of us do the same thing within 5 minutes of each other. LOL (then again, it wouldn't be the first tennis organisation where the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing, so maybe even that wouldn't faze anyone!)

Shame to hear that bout Fitzy, but fact he's been given a WC goes to show the progress he's made in the past few months

I was gonna give her another call about 4pm, just to let whoever may want to be a right hand know.
I am the left!

Still nothing on the bbc link so it looks like calling them up is the only way to get scores at the moment

Unfortunately Fitzy result isn't a surprise, but he did well to keep competitive in the first set and hopefully he can get a better draw in the next 2 events

Does anyone know if spectators are allowed to watch at Bath, and if so, how much it would cost to watch? Was considering the possibility of paying a visit tomorrow, if the opportunity arises.

I would be very surprised if you couldn't watch (although it's an LTA tournament... so maybe not that surprised)

The Exmouth future is free-entry for all days other than the final so I'd imagine it would be the same

I might try and get along this week if I get the time and see what the schedule gives us for tomorrow (if they play 4 matches at a time then it's not worth going)

Sunderland Futures is free, for what it's worth.

teambath.com says

"All matches take place in the state-of-the-art indoor tennis complex at the Sports Training Village.

Play is scheduled to get underway at 10am every day and admission for spectators is FREE."

I was at UoBath 1999-2003 but never even bothered to pop in to watch cry

That's bad: the BBC blocking the phone lines, while a real sports site wanted to get in touch with the tournement furious.gif
