Indoors, they don't try to play GB Futures outdoors at this time of year.

Pritchard and Chaudry got stuffed. I'll stick to reporting results rather than speculating on them in advance!

Impresive win for Morgan! Could be some player.

Lets hope for 4 qualifiers!

Indeed jonny, a good win for Tom. freerider, Farquharsson has been playing British Tour. I saw him play in Corby and he took a set off Matt Bright who is world ranked and then today he beat Pritchard who is a decent enough player. I think he's doing OK for 16 myself.

For once they didn't:  Goody won 3 & 4 smile , Bamfs 7-6(3) 6-3 smile , Flan 4 & 4 smile , Arlidge 7-6(7) 1-6 ( confused ) 7-6(3) smile , Morgan lost 6-3 5-7 3-6 cry & Bains 3 & 0 cry , but he's in the MD as a LL!smile

In the MD, Bloomers is the top seed, Goody the second, Seator the fourth & Kasiri the fifth.  Skups is there, as are Evans & Chris Eaton, while Tim Hewitt, Fitzy & Sean Thornley all have WCs.  Quite a showing! clap.gif

In the doubles, Bloomers & Skups are the top seeds, Goody & Bamfs the second & Eaton & Carsten Ball the fourth! Another good showing! thumbsup.gif

Bloomers and Josh really should rake through this field given their class indoors....if neither of them win this title then it will be quite disappointing......Kasiri as the dark horse

really hoping Josh can makes some finals in these upcoming British futures....he's top 200/top 150 calibre when he plays to his potential on indoor/grass/fast hard......I know John lloyd and other top coaches like the way he gives it absolutely everything on court but maybe not channeling that in the right way...he does get too down on himself at times and lets it affect the rest of the match, probably the difference between winning and losing a lot of these tight matches he's had

don't understand why he's played so much in portugal this yr, doesnt really make sense.....reading the posts ppl have been disappointed at the results but the courts are just stupidly slow out there....for shotmakers, guys who like to get to the net like Goodall, Eaton, Bamford etc......its almost futile at times against a good grinder as you cant hit through them on the surface and the balls just sit up everytime you go to the net...........don't know why these guys havent played more in france

for guys like Matt Illingworth/Tim Hewitt....natural slow court players - high on fitness, on court work ethic, consistency and court coverage its the perfect surface

Superb from Morgan, must have been almighty close there....already 6ft2 and just 15, he could be the British Karlovic if he keeps growing....must have a huge serve, explains why he's already getting results in the mens game....hopefully he keeps at the futures, I think you learn so much more playing those than doing the junior tour.....its the policy all the spaniards take and look at their success rate......and in the mens game there's no restrictions on the no of tournaments you can play at any age

Bossel is a bit of a scrapper, gets lots back and decent serve too....Sagoo and Bains probably just a bit too raw to outhit him over best of 3
