Week 11-12 - AMS Indian Wells

Andy is seeded 11th, has a bye first round, Melzer or Safin in R2, Karlovic probably awaits in R3, with Roddick possibly in R4, and he is in Federer's quarter.

oh not a great draw really , one of the toughest! Karlovic and then Roddick who is on form and Safin before these! nightmare.

Why is it though, that Djokovic always seems to have easy draws through to the quarters/semis? Ive always compared Andy's draw to Novaks and he always seems to have easy draws! So annoying!furious.gif

Well Novak is the 3 seed whilst Andy is the 11th(?) seed so technically Novak should have the easier draw anyway.

I assume that there is no pick 'em competition this year or have I missed something?

Andy teams up with Booty in the doubles: Damm and Pavel in R1.

Thanks Rob.

Can't see Safin/Melzer on today's order of play so guess that means Andy won't be playing before Saturday.

I think we'll see Murray playing on Sunday if they keep playing 1 half of the draw to a day as they are at the moment

Melzer and Safin are currently throwing up a match of epic proportions, with Melzer leading by a set, but Safin being a break up in the second

Melzer came through strong in the end, winning 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-2 and so will face Murray in the next round

And that match will be second on Court 7 today, after Stretch & The Beast tackle Lubo & Robredo in arguably the easier match! biggrin  KO for that is at 19.00 GMT... pray.gif

Some great doubles matches to follow then! and I think Meltzer should be easier than Safin.
