Just out of curiousity...why had Jonny lost 7 ranking places between the FQR and the MD?

1495 is the ranking of 3 March, 1502 the ranking of 10 March. I don't know why the 10 March one is used confuse.gif

I try to use the most recent rankings, which for main draws means the ranking on the Monday that the tournament starts. For qualifying, I just use the rankings shown on the draw, i.e. the ranking from one week early, and usually can't be bothered to substitute it with the new ranking if the FQR is played on Monday.

So, I was just trying to be consistent with what I do for every other tournament, but I realise it must have looked confusing and I intended to add a little note about it but forgot.

Come on Jonathan! Be the luckiest of losers!

No revenge for Jonathan, and he didn't even manage a set against Paul this week:

L32: (LL) Jonathan Kinsella WR 1502 lost to (Q) Todd Paul (USA) WR 887 by 7-6(2) 6-4 cry

Looking on the bright side, though, both sets were competitive, which isn't too bad when there are more than 600 ranking places between you.
