Looking at the current rankings due to come out on Monday, Andy will end up as 4th seed as Monaco and Ferrero are ahead of him now. I hope he can meet a couple of clay court bunnies in the first couple of rounds to get his eye in! (If there ARE any clay court bunnies in the field)
I'm pretty sure Vliegen is pants on clay. I'd say Tipsarevic's game isn't particularly suited either and I reckon Andy could easily beat guys like Haase and Korolev on any surface.
Looks like Andreev might be unseeded, would be a nightmare first round draw. Other dangerous potentials are Horna, Bolelli and Garcia-Lopez imo

But Andy still beat him and having watched Haase play I'd say he is much less suited to clay than indoors

LOL sorry. Turns out I was more confused than you probably currently are. Should have checked that really but was going on memory which obviously failed me. Sorry lol

Andy Murray has pulled out of next week's Valencia Open in Spain after picking up a virus.
It is the latest setback for the British number one, who has run into trouble after making a bright start to the season.
Having tumbled out of the world's top 20 last week, Murray was due to begin his clay-court campaign in Valencia.
However, he will now stay on the practice courts until the Masters Series tournament in Monte Carlo, which begins on April 21.
Murray flew out to Spain this week to reacquaint himself with the surface after missing most of this part of last season with a wrist injury.
The Scot will stay in Spain before meeting up with two-time French Open finalist Alex Corretja, who is joining his coaching team for the next two months.
Murray is hoping to use the next part of the season to improve his ranking, which has slipped to 22nd after disappointing results in Indian Wells and Miami
bad luck considering he could have really picked up some useful points this week and plus give him some experience before the masters series.
However, there is still some British interest, as after giving James Ward a WC last year this year it's Morgan's turn as he continues his comeback. Unfortuanetly it's only for the qualies this time and he has drawn the 8th seed, David Marrero (ESP), currently ranked 302.
