I dont think they're too bad considering if they win who they could get

I feel that if Baker can keep up his recent form then he will undoubtedly qualify, however i fear that if Kei Nikoroshi is on form then Alex really has got an uphill struggle

Yay! Baker's back biggrin.gif A throughly deserved wildcard however he came about it. Hopefully he can make the step straight up from futures to master qualifying. Nishikori is one of hte worst draws out there, but Alex always seems to do better against players he should be thrashed by so hopefully he manages it again. please.gif

Jamie should be relaxed. Serra has a 4/5 record this season. 2 wins coming in one event. He has not had a great year so far. Loosing in straights to Isner in the process.

He got to WR 36 in 2006 after winning titles in 05 and 06. Not much since then.

So Jamie should be full of confidence with his recent good run albeit in Futures and if he can beat Calleri (Who I rate a better player) then he should have a great chance. Im sure Serra wont be that happy at getting Baker !

As for Boggo...we can only pray that the brad affect will kick in and Nikoroshi is slightly jaded !

I know it's crazy given that he's one of the lowest ranked players in the whole draw (not to mention the fact that he's been ill), but is anyone else feeling like they're going to be at least a tiny bit disappointed if Jamie doesn't qualify with this draw? (that's meant to be a compliment to him btw!)

a bit dissapoitined but not too upset, its a big ask, the thing is bar the odd match since the DC jamie has been playing much worse opponents than Serra so the step up could means he takes a while to get into it as such

Sure, and no, I didn't mean upset with him if he doesn't make it! smile.gif I just feel like he's got more than no chance here, and I'm not sure I'd have felt that even just a few months ago.

it's not just his recent form in futures and the DC though, it's also his AO qualifying performance so yeah, I'm hoping he'll manage to qualify. Partially becuase I really want him to race up to a new career high, where I think he deserves to be.
