RE: Week 11/12 - Indian Wells Masters

Really thought it was going to a tie break then. Unbelievable match.

on the bright side, how many of us could honestly say we thought Boggo had that much of a chance at the beginning of the match, let alone at 0-3 down in the second set?

I would type some very, very, very rude words but I don't know any!ashamed

Hard luck Alex. You did fight pretty hard and we don't really know what was going on.

Come on Jamie!

Donn't know what to make of that. Nishikori probably just played better overall.

Gutted for Ogani. Think Nishikori will qualify now, and happen to think Ogani would have done if he'd come through this one. I didn't expect Boggo to win before or particularly during but 4-3 up with a break final set is the type of match you HAVE to close out at this level.

When's Jamie Baker on?

Lapentti going out adds insult to injury.

Also looking on the bright side though, I can't remember the last time we had a match thread that so many people were posting on repeatedly. smile.gif

i dont ever remember following a match like that for a long time, maybe boggo's match vs stadler at the aoq, but this was worse in a way.

it was just werid the way they seemed to be swapping love holds and breaks, maybe a bright sun at one end? there must be a reason.

Although Jamie is 5th match on, they've been racing through the matches on his court and he's on after Voracova-Fujiwara which is currently 6-2 0-0.

We could have three Brits all on court at once within the next 30-60 minutes!

Voracova-Fujiwara now finished - 2 & 2 - & Gagliardi appears to be on the verge of beating Arn, so I'd say it was a racing certainty!  Not looking too good for Katie ATM, though... hmm

Doubt it'll ultimately be that difficult:  the Gagliardi-Arn match has now gone into a third set (guess I was wrong - or should that be "rong"? wink - there... redface.gif ) & Katie looks as though she's going out in straights, being already a set & a break down! cry
