Week 11/12 - Indian Wells Masters

Obviously the Murrays with both be in action here. Will any of our other dubs guys be here too? Any ideas on how people will team up.

Boggo is most likey to be our only entrant in the quailes, he is currently 4 spots out, however he should be able to get in. MD wild cards are yet to be announced, however there are 5 avalibale. There is a strong possibility that Ancic will be getting one, however you would expect at least some to go to the several americans in the Qdraw inc Donald Young, who surely is vying for most ever WC's, (along with phillipoo) as well as Young there are 8 other americans in the QD, but i have no idea who is in favour etc in their system. so each WC given there should bump alex upwards.

I thought there was some kind of close season for the hunting of "quailes", too.  Then again, maybe the Yanks don't believe in 'em, given that there inalienable right under the Constitution to carry guns... wink

No, it's the way that US Vice-Presidential candidates tell others how to spell 'potato' - but you knew that all along, didn't you?!

I'd have made a better president then wee George! - and I wouldn't vote for me as president of my own fan club!

Glad you liked it, DJ, but I'd prefer a coconut - & I'm not a man, though there's no reason why you should know that, since I never got round to correcting johnnylad's mistaken impression on my "Jamie Baker" thread last week (for the record, to my eternal shame, you were spot on there! I seem to manage to forget to check the girls' thread to see how they're progressing with monotonous regularity! redface.gif ). wink

My apologies for making an unwarranted assumption, genuinely so. There seem to be so few females on the site that I've come to expect everyone to be a male; ashamed!

You're welcome to the coconut as an alternative prize, but it really wouldn't have fitted my feeble attempt at a follow-up witticism.

How could I possibly not accept such a gracious apology, Derek, especially one from a fellow pedant? biggrin  There are so few of us around...  Consider yourself  forgiven! wink  My name's Lynne, by the way. flowerpot.gif

We are rather in the minority on this board aren't we! I'm not entirely sure why, though I guess it might have something to do with the fact that topics discussed include flight plans to Japan wink.gif

This question is undoubtedly me being rather silly and extremely lazy...when does the IW qualifying draw actually take place? I thought IW started proper next week, though I have a vague recollection of someone telling me the main draw doesn't start till Wednesday, is that the case? (told you the question was simply me being lazy and not bothering to look it up myself)

The qualifying draw is on Monday, time TBA but probably after midnight (i.e. early hours of Tuesday) our time.

Btw in case people are not aware yet, because the time zone difference means you have to stay up so late to follow the matches at IW (won't bother me, but ...), we've decided that the March AMS we'll do a pick 'em for will be Miami, as last year.

Nah, Bethan, being interested in flight plans to Japan isn't a mark of maleness, it's a mark of an enquiring, intelligent mind! - and from the quality of your posts, Lynne, Mad and you should surely fit the bill!!
