Goody lost to Bubka 1 & 4 in the singles , but got his revenge, after a fashion, when Carsten Ball & Chris Eaton beat him & Klymenko in the doubles SF 6-2 2-6 [10-8], while Goody himself & Bamfs beat Maes & Meniane 4 & 3 in the other SF. Don't know whether to laugh or cry! Bit of both, I suppose... So, 75% British doubles final!
Damn, beaten to it again. Not a match Goodall should have lost. I spotted Bubka senior at the Indoor Athletics Championships earlier today. Three silvers for us there.

Still believe in Josh, johnny? Ball & Eaton won 2 & 4!
Just to put Josh's losses of the last couple of weeks and Miles' loss this week into context, Machado went on to win his 3rd Futures title in a row. He now has an 18-match winning streak since the start of February (yes, that's 5 more than Jamie B!), 17 of them in straight sets, and a 20-1 record (40-3 in sets) for 2008.
Only two players have taken more than 8 games off him during his 18-match streak - Jeanclaude, who took a set off him in the Final last week and beat Josh this week, and Josh himself.
Unfortunately, I imagine Machado will be in Albufeira (and probably still unseeded) this week too.

Yes.
I think we can all agree that the final of the doubles in this tournament is not exactly a measure of whether a player still has it or not.
I would back Josh to beat Eaton 4 times out of every 5 they played each other unless Chris improves substancially.
