Craig, they probably took that stat of his junior profile or something.
unless you are big they dont get an update. i also wonder how thye deterime who gets a photo or not? is there a rankings cut in point?
they still have boggo as coached by rafeal, despite all the huge press sround brad gilbert :) (and wont put alex's website on depsite my emails to them)
actually its up the players to fill out their own player profiles. we have them at our tournament that the head official hands out to players. height, weight, dob, hobbies, etc.

I obviously didn't look far back enough on Mackin's record. He had an odd habit of playing Futures/Sats or ATP Qs but not going for Challengers that much.
I don't think a W/O should count though - a retirement, yes, but not a W/O where they probably didn't even have to turn up.
Disagree? Or any advance on 13?
Rob - should I set up a thread for this, maybe in the rankings section? - simply because it would be good to record the top streak for any player we've looked through to avoid having to check them the next time this happens.

L16: Jamie Baker WR 249 v Scott Oudsema (USA) WR 328
Oudsema had a career high of 255 in May last year and was playing Challengers for a while
Last year, he lost to Jamie 4 & 3 during Jamie's run at Waikoloa, lost 6 & 3 to Bloomers in Valancia, beat Smethurst 3 & 4 at the Cardiff Challenger and then beat Jamie in three sets at Louisville at the end of October, going on to reach the semis where he lost to Donald Young.
The interesting thing is that after Louisville, Oudsema lost five R1 matches in a row and has now come back down to Futures, where he got thrashed 3 & 0 by Francis this week, before Jamie went on to beat the McAllen-born American (Francis, that is) in straight sets two rounds later.
That suggests Baker should definitely have the edge now, but this streak must be taking its toll on the Baker boy and Oudsema had a day off today, so I can't see it being that easy.

Raising the bar again, though having to go back into the previous century to do so:
Tigger won three Satellites in a row in India in 1993-4 then won two more matches in week 4, a winning streak of 16 matches. (17 if you insist on counting w/ds)
I now have an advance on 13/14 - Tigger won three Satellites in a row in India in 1993-4 then won two more matches in week 4, a winning streak of 16 matches. (17 for those who count w/ds), while now in 2nd place is Jeremy Bates, who managed 14 streaks twice, in a Malaysia Satellite in 1991 and a GB Satellite in 1992.
Of course, there may be others like Mackin who did even better without ever hitting the top 100, but I'd be surprised if Tigger's 16 isn't the British record for at least the last quarter of a century and in any case, I can't be bothered to look for anyone else!

Part of me can't quite believe how much effort you guys have put into finding the longest winning streak for a Brit player...the bigger part of me is surprised that I'm surprised!! But I thought the idea was to find a record Baker's already broken?

Jamie "you'll regret it if you make me angry" Baker won his R1 match against Grilli 3-6 6-1 6-1.
Also, two of the other three seeds in his half of the draw, (3) van der Merwe & (8) Francis, both lost, leaving (6) Estrella, who bombed out early in Harlingen, as the only other seed left in Jamie's half of the draw, though I imagine Ignatik will emerge from that quarter in the end.

Jamie will be on not before 1pm central. Weird that the tourney officials put this match on court 6 instead of the stadium court. I'll try and update scores a little more frequently than I did today.
