RE: Week 10 - Futures F6 (15k) - McAllen, TX, USA

Um, the ATP has him getting to R2 in Barletta as his first games of 2005 - which is just 11 matches - so Jamie's just matched that biggrin.gif

- now then, did Boggo have a winning streak........

Yes! Bergamo then Wrexham in '06, then out in R2 of Shrewsbury.

So that's 2 11 match ones. but no 12 match ones....yet!

i dont think alex ever had an uniterruppted one that long 12, but boggo stopped playing futures when he was 18.

i think boggo only ever won 1 future in fact

alex would have had the record with a 15 match challenger winning run, but he decided to have a laugh and play the orlando ch where he lost in rd2. otherwise he would have won sunderland bergmao and wrexham back to back (with a xmas break) the run was cut as he picked up a injury in the bergamo final.

Barletta was in March 2005, he played la Serena in January - see ITF. So that's 12, and surely we can count DC for Jamie, making his streak 12 as well.

Good idea whoever mentioned Sats - Alan Mackin (yet another Scot!) won two Sats in a row then reached the SFs of the 3rd in Indonesia in late 2004 - i.e. a streak of 13.

Any advance on 13? smile.gif

weird - ATP misses out all activity before Barletta confused.gif

Cool - So Jamie's got the longest run since Andy in 2005......unless anyone knows any different!

Baker vs. Oudsema in round 2

they split meetings last year.  jamie won their first meeing 4,3 while scott took the last meeting, 6-3, 6-7, 6-2.  oudsema played our challenger this year and has a big game.  if the weather stays the way it has been in the valley recently(windy and warm), i give jamie the edge.  the forecast shows rain and only a high of 77 tomorrow, so we'll see.

that could be tough, he bt boggo last year didnt, in delray beach i think.

i guess it may depend how much jamie has in the tank, another 3 setter he could be running on empty.

whats 77 in deg C?

confusedthis might be the funniest misprint atp has done in awhile.  oudsema is a very built kid.  height and weight wise.  they have his height correct, 6'3, but his weight, they have him at 147lbs, or 66kg.  he is probably around 185-190lbs.
