maybe his exerts are catching up with him. to be gonest i wouldn't mind so much if he lsot early and had a week#s break before his next event. when's he scheduled to play challengers?
Wasn't too worried about Jamie winning this one. He doesn't have a lot to prove at this level so losing this match after 2 tournament wins would probably just indicate tiredness. Perfectly reasonable after such a great run. However, Jamie proves that he's keen to carry on and one can only congratulate him for his continued fighting spirit and positive attitude. Such a great player to follow. Well done the Baker Boy once more.
jamie didn't get my american humor. i sent him a text saying.."broken record, another boring text, congrats baker boy". his reply.."what record did i break". what i meant by that was, every text i send him is the same thing. "congrats on the win today. well done again" i thought it was pretty funny.
He'll know what the phrase means, for sure, I think he just read it the wrong way because he was thinking about his 12-match winning streak! It just shows how competitive he is -
Maybe we should hunt for a record he has broken. Come to think of it, has a Brit ever won 12 matches in a row at any pro level before?!

I don't think he did win back to back Challengers, but he won back to back Futures at the end of 2004, then reached the QFs of the la Serena Challenger, so that was a dozen wins on the trot.
So, unless anyone knows better, I think he might have equalled Andy's record for the longest winning streak by a Brit in living memory.
The question now is, can Jamie manage a Baker's Dozen (neat, eh!) or will it turn out to be unlucky 13?
